Science Illustration Part 2

In this beginner/intermediate science illustration class, we will build on our observational drawing and watercolor skills from the beginner class. We will continue practicing our watercolor techniques and begin to incorporate more advanced ink and graphite techniques into our illustrations. Prior attendance in the beginner class is not required, some prior experience with watercolor is recommended.


Brush Hour: Drawing Bird Friends

Grab your sketchbooks and find a cozy spot to draw! We will create a journal full of sketches, observations, and other notes inspired by the natural world. 

We will build skills that will help us become better naturalists such as observational drawing, note-taking, gesture drawing, and understanding natural phenomena.


All-Ages: Nature Sketching in Ballpoint Pen

Get inspired by the forms and colors of the invertebrates of the PNW. Students of all ages are welcome in this class, we will be discussing the biodiversity of the PNW tidepools.

Students will observe and sketch from photos, videos, and live videos of tidepool creatures. We will be creating mixed-media sketchbook pages of our observations that can inspire your future work!

Coastal Landscapes in Colored Pencil
